Theatre is an elegant reworking of K Rd's super-slim and iconic Norman Ng building, formerly housing Norman's fruit store and then Brazil Cafe and latterly Handmade Burgers. Don't be deceived by the narrowness of the space (although it is one of the narrowest buildings in the Southern hemisphere) as the sweeping staircase leads to a great mezzanine floor with comfy couches and a magnificent original stained-glass ceiling panel at the rear.

Originally the building was a carthorse lane to the famous Mercury Theatre, which was then turned into the entrance foyer thus all the marble floors and stairs. A recent refurbishment has left this eloquent venue with two separate bars. One at the entrance level and the other in the mezzanine room making this an ideal venue for functions. The boutique nature of Theatre is supported by an extensive beer and wine list of the finest and rarest beverages.
